Candy Apple Custom Collision was established by owner Sally Sargent in 1983. In 2008, her son Kyle Sargent took over the daily operations as a manager upon graduation from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College. Kyle grew up in the collision business and his passion for the industry shows every day. Kyle is an I-Car Gold Class Certified Collision Repair Estimator. He is also an Accredited Automotive Manager from AMI (Automotive Management Institute).
Continuing education is very important at Candy Apple Custom Collision II. Things are always changing in the automotive industry, and we make sure our staff always remains ahead of the curve. Kyle attends numerous training classes each year to ensure you always receive high-quality, state-of-the-art repairs. All of our shop technicians are I-Car Gold Class Certified and have worked in the industry for many years.

Candy Apple Custom Collision II is proud to be a Gold Class® collision repair business. The Gold Class recognition indicates that our technicians are trained in the proper repair techniques and procedures that contribute to the complete and safe repair of your vehicle.
As a Gold Class shop, we require each of our technicians involved in collision repair to take ongoing training every year. This includes classes on new vehicle technologies and the latest repair techniques.
Candy Apple Custom Collision II is among only 15 percent of collision repair businesses to achieve Gold Class status, whereas shops that are not Gold Class may train minimally or not at all. Gold Class shops are trained on how to detect hidden damage and fix your vehicle right, on what can be repaired and what needs to be replaced.

Kyle & Ashley Sargent
Bio
For Kyle, the collision industry has always been home. Born and raised around the family business, Kyle grew up watching firsthand the hard work and dedication that built Candy Apple Custom Collision after his parents opened the shop in 1983. After graduating from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College in 2008 with a degree in Agriculture Business, Kyle returned home to continue the family legacy. Nearly two decades later, he and his wife Ashley proudly own and operate Candy Apple Custom Collision Cartersville together.
Ashley’s connection to Candy Apple also began years ago while she was in college, working at the shop before later returning full-time once their children began school. Together, Kyle and Ashley have built more than just a business they have created a family-oriented environment where teamwork, trust, and genuine care for customers come first.
As a husband-and-wife team, they take pride in working side by side every day, continuing the values Candy Apple was founded on while serving the Cartersville community with honesty, quality, and a personal touch.
Levi Stafford
Bio
Originally from Deltona, Florida, Levi Stafford brings 22 years of experience in the collision and automotive industry to the team at Candy Apple Custom Collision. Inspired by the fact that no two days are ever the same, Levi has built his career around helping customers navigate the repair process as smoothly and stress-free as possible. He enjoys the strong team atmosphere at the shop and takes pride in delivering excellent customer service every day. Outside of work, Levi enjoys gardening, reading, and playing guitar. A fun fact about Levi at one point he held a welding certification, CPA license, and public adjuster license all at the same time.
Nick Forsyth
Bio
Originally from Rome, Georgia, Nick Forsyth brings 8 years of experience in the collision industry to the team at Candy Apple Custom Collision. Growing up around cars and being inspired by his older brother, who is also a body technician, led Nick into the automotive collision field. He enjoys the family-oriented atmosphere and relaxed environment at the shop and takes pride in restoring damaged vehicles back to factory condition. Outside of work, Nick enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time with his wife. A fun fact about Nick he’s a big college football fan.
Stephanie Zaring
Bio
Originally from Wichita, Kansas, Stephanie Zaring brings over 20 years of automotive experience, including 4 years in the collision industry, to the team at Candy Apple Custom Collision. Stephanie was inspired to join the industry by her desire to learn something new and expand her knowledge of cars. She enjoys getting to know new people and being part of a great team atmosphere at the shop. One of Stephanie’s favorite parts of her job is interacting with customers, vendors, and drivers each day. Outside of work, she enjoys bowling, baking, and spending time with her family. A fun fact about Stephanie, she considers herself a very friendly person and loves connecting with others.
Dee Pennell
Bio
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Dee Pennell brings 42 years of experience in the collision and automotive industry to the team at Candy Apple Custom Collision. Growing up in the Motor City sparked Dee’s lifelong love of cars and passion for the industry. Dee enjoys working for a great family-owned business and takes pride in helping customers through the repair process, knowing that every collision repair is unique. Outside of work, Dee enjoys fishing and walking on the beach. A fun fact about Dee they have lived in six different states.
